How provision works in North
The model every North centre is built around, whatever stage a student joins at.
Small, nurturing environments
Every centre is deliberately small. Students are known by name by every member of staff, and the setting stays calm enough that a difficult morning doesn't set the tone for the whole day.
Personalised pathways
No two timetables are identical. What a student studies, and at what pace, is built around where they're starting from and what they're working towards.
Academic and vocational offer
Core academic subjects sit alongside vocational and practical options, so students build qualifications in areas they have a genuine interest in rather than working through a fixed programme.
Progression and reintegration
Every placement works towards a defined next step: a return to mainstream, a specialist setting, or a post-16 route. Progress towards it is reviewed with the referring school at least every half-term.
